Australia. Porsche Cars Australia (PCA) is looking forward to another exciting year in 2017 with many keenly anticipated new models arriving in showrooms from later this month.
The year starts on a high with the all new Panamera luxury four-door sports car officially launched on February 25. Porsche dealers are already holding firm orders for around 50 of the gran turismos without a single test drive to date.
The core 911 sports car range steps up a gear in April with the local arrival of the popular GTS models, with no fewer than five variants joining the iconic sports car line-up: 911 Carrera GTS Coupe and Cabriolet, 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe and Cabriolet and 911 Targa 4 GTS.
The Macan range will be completed in April also with the arrival of the turbocharged four-cylinder compact sporty SUV priced from $76,610.
Porsche’s fast start to 2017 with an all-time record of 581 cars delivered in January* bodes well for another strong year for Porsche Cars Australia and its 14 official Porsche Centres.
In 2016 PCA delivered 4,434 cars to customers, up from 4,090 in 2015 and 2,813 in 2014.*
“Our growth in Australia is through exciting new product offerings across all areas of our range – from sporty SUVs in the Cayenne and Macan to the new generation 718 Boxster and Cayman and the continual roll out of high performance models in the 911 range,” says PCA Managing Director and CEO, Sam Curtis.
“The highlight of the first half of this year will, of course, be the all-new Panamera which arrives in showrooms this month.
“Our dealers have been overwhelmed by the strong interest in the new gran turismo and are holding a significant number of orders even before commencing test drives.”
The Panamera range will launch initially with the 4S and Turbo variants with the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Panamera 4S Diesel, Panamera 4 and rear-drive Panamera all expected in 2017.
