We are only satisfied when we are not content with being satisfied. And that means scrutinising every aspect, again and again. Even things that are already well established. Such as the tried-and-tested Porsche hybrid concept: the vehicle can be powered by the combustion engine alone, solely by the electric machine or by both drive systems working in tandem. A single letter – the ‘E’ – is now having a great impact. Through the use of a vehicle charge port, it combines a future-oriented drive with the comprehensive concept of E-Performance. From the Hybrid we’ve developed the E-Hybrid – one of the first parallel plug-in hybrid models in the SUV segment.
The high-voltage battery with lithium-ion technology has an energy capacity of 10.8 kWh and can be charged using a conventional socket in approx. 2.7 hours.* The battery is maintenance-free and comes with a 6-year warranty.
In everyday driving situations, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid can typically cover 18–36 km** under electric power alone (NEDC: 36 km) with a maximum speed of 125 km/h.
New standards are also being set by the practical charging equipment. Thanks to the optional on-board charger*** with 7.2 kW, you can conveniently charge your car using the charging cable. With the on-board charger, the charging time* is reduced to 1.3 hours. For charging at home, there’s the standard Porsche universal charger (AC) with charging dock.
Another giant leap forward. For the Cayenne and for you. Right into the future.
* Charging time: approx. 1.3 hrs with 7.2-kW on-board charger/approx. 2.7 hrs with 3.6-kW charger.
** The range of values is dependent on the driving style, traffic situation, route profile, ambient temperature, usage of auxiliary electrical devices (e. g. heating) and number of passengers or load. This may result in the range of values being reduced. The maximum figure was determined in the standard cycle (NEDC), which enables a comparison between manufacturers.
